Technology

The language follows the product.

Java, PHP, Python, Node.js, and the web and mobile frameworks around them. This page is a guide to when Astra chooses each one.

When we choose each one

Jump to a language. Each section says the kind of problem it fits, how Astra uses it, and which services it usually supports.

01

Java

Fits when

A business system needs a strong structure and a language a team can maintain for years.

How we use it

We use Java for business applications and the services behind them. Security and predictable performance are part of the design from the start.

Usually part of

02

PHP

Fits when

The product is a content-driven site, a custom website, or an online store.

How we use it

PHP stays a practical choice for that work. We use current frameworks and libraries so another developer can extend the result.

03

Python

Fits when

The work is an API, an integration, automation, or a workflow that has to handle data clearly.

How we use it

Python is how we build those services and connect systems. We reach for it when the problem benefits from its ecosystem.

04

Node.js

Fits when

A web or mobile front end needs an API, a real-time feature, or a backend in the same language.

How we use it

We use Node.js beside React and Next.js products, with enough structure that the service stays understandable as it grows.

05

Frameworks

Fits when

The interface is the product, on the web or on both phone platforms.

How we use it

On the web we work in Angular, React, Vue, and Next.js. On mobile we use Flutter and React Native when one codebase should serve iOS and Android. The choice follows the interface, the team, and how the system will be deployed.

Next step

Bring a preferred stack, or come without one.

If you already know the language, say so. If you do not, we will choose among Java, PHP, Python, and JavaScript for the product and the team that will keep it.
